What you can win
The grand prize is $20,000 plus a $250 Spoonful of Comfort e-gift card, with an approximate retail value of $20,250. There are also 11 weekly prizes: each is $1,000 plus a themed Spoonful of Comfort package, valued between $1,099.99 and $1,184.99.
Prizes cannot be assigned or transferred, and winners are responsible for taxes. Winners of a prize worth $2,000 or more must give a Social Security number for tax reporting.
How to enter
Open the Countdown to Christmas Movie Game website and register for a free account. You can register at any time during the promotion.
Sign in once each day to earn one entry. Each day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 8:59 a.m. ET the next morning.
Play the Daily Trivia pack for extra entries, based on the share of questions you answer correctly, and use the other ways to enter described in the rules.
Entries count toward that week's prize and the grand prize. No purchase is necessary, and agreeing to receive promotional emails is optional.
Who can enter
The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico who are 18 or older. Residents of other US territories and foreign countries cannot enter. Employees and agents of Hallmark Media, its promoters, the promotion administrator and their affiliates and agencies, and their immediate family and household members are excluded.
How winners are chosen
Each of the 11 weekly periods has a random drawing the day after the period ends, with the first one on October 20, 2026 and the last on January 5, 2027. The grand prize is drawn on or about January 5, 2027. Winners are notified by email and must return an affidavit of eligibility and liability waiver, and a publicity release and IRS W-9 where applicable, within seven days; otherwise an alternate may be selected. The prize is sent within 6 to 8 weeks after verification.
