How it works
The picker shuffles tickets with the Fisher-Yates algorithm and draws every number with crypto.getRandomValues, the browser’s cryptographic generator. Values that would introduce bias are discarded, so every ticket has exactly the same chance. If someone has several tickets they can still win only once.
The record and its limits
Every draw produces a record with the date, time, number of entrants, winners and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the list. If you publish that fingerprint with the result, anyone can check that the list you show them is the one that was used. What it does not prove is that the list is complete or that the draw was not repeated before: nothing on a web page can guarantee that. That is why the record states how many draws were made with the same list in that session, and the history keeps every attempt.
To build trust, run the draw live or record your screen, publish the list of entrants before entries close and keep the record.
Before you draw
A randomizer does not replace the rules. Check whether your country requires authorization, a notary or taxes for the type of draw you run, and publish clear rules. You can read how winners are selected and how to read giveaway rules.
Frequently asked questions
Are the names I paste stored?
No. They are processed in your browser’s memory and disappear when you close or reload the page. Giveario never receives them.
Can I pick from Instagram or TikTok comments?
This tool does not connect to social networks. Export or copy the usernames and paste them into the list.
How many entrants does it support?
Up to 50,000 lines. Each person can have up to 100 tickets.
Can a draw be repeated?
Technically yes, and no browser tool can prevent it. That is why every attempt is kept in the history and the record states “Draw no. X with this list”. If something goes wrong, repeat and explain it. To build trust, draw live or record it. You can also allow the same person to win more than once.
Can I download a video of the draw?
Yes. After drawing, press “Create video for social” and choose the format: 9:16 for Stories, Reels and TikTok, 1:1 or 4:5 for the feed, 16:9 for YouTube or X. The video is recorded in your browser and replays the result you already got (it does not draw again). It is saved as MP4 if your browser allows it and as WebM otherwise; Instagram and TikTok need MP4.
Is the music copyrighted?
There are no audio files: the music and effects are generated in your browser from an original Giveario composition, so no third-party track is used and you can publish the video without licence fees or credits. If you prefer other music, turn the option off and add it in your editor.
Can I share the result on social media?
Yes. You can open your phone’s share sheet, send it by WhatsApp, X, Telegram, Facebook or email, or download an image ready for stories and posts. Instagram and TikTok do not allow posting from a website, so use the image for them. Names are included only if you turn it on.
Is it legally valid?
The method is fair, but the legal validity of a draw depends on its rules and local regulations. Ask a professional if there are valuable prizes or a commercial promotion.
