People
One name per line. Add “;3” to set a level from 1 to 5.
Teams
They will appear here.
How teams are formed
The list is shuffled with Fisher-Yates and dealt in turns, so teams differ by at most one person. With levels, people are sorted by level and dealt “snake-style” (1-2-3-3-2-1…) to balance total strength.
Constraints
If you list pairs that must be kept apart, the tool tries up to 400 shuffles and keeps the one that respects them best. If it is not possible, it tells you.
Frequently asked questions
Can I redo the split?
Yes, “Shuffle again” gives another split with the same settings.
What if it does not divide evenly?
Some teams will have one more person. The tool tells you before creating the teams.
Are the names stored?
